Image Hello dear visitor! Currier Island technicians are currently working on getting our internet webpage "current". We are still learning the craft of internetting, since we only recently "got online."

The good news is that our Mens, Mixed, and Mixed Masters teams are getting ready to participate at the World Championhsip in Lignano (Italy) and visa's will be handed out to those that applied.

Much thanks, CI Elders

And now for our regular welcome note:

Stories of Currier Island have been passed down for centuries through sea shanties, fireside chats, and cryptic notes written on paper currency.  While the facts surrounding this Ultimate Paradise evolve and shift with time, historians agree that Currier Island is a small tropical land mass with less than 5,000 extremely athletic and jaw-droppingly attractive inhabitants.  The island is most often recorded somewhere between the Marshall Islands and Sicily (though it was once spotted floating in the middle of Lake Victoria).  But you didn't come here for a geography lesson.  And besides, most people believe that Currier Island is less a country and more a state of mind.  It exists, no doubt, but its sheer metaphysical power has long overwhelmed its shifty geographic identity.  Currier island is that quiet place that exists inside us all: that place where there are no laws, no money, no police and no problems... just the spirit of the game.

Citizens of Currier Island spend most of the day engaging in beach ultimate games, keeping fit by swimming in the clear blue water and sipping perfectly mixed cocktails from the belly of a coconut.

The outside world became aware of Currier Island only just prior to the 2004 WCBU when they established communications with Patrick Van der Valk and requested an invitation to attend (stating that WCBU  could not possibly qualify as a legitimate "World Championship" without representation from the Currerian Island Nation).  Patrick could not help but oblige and granted the Nation's request to attend this, possibly the most prestigious Beach ultimate tourney ever.

Currier Island was now on the map.
